About this poster
“Electrodynamics” is one of six designs from the first multilingual poster series “Atoms for peace”, which Erik Nitsche created for the U.S. General Dynamics corporation on the occasion of the first International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy, held in Geneva. Bearing the series slogan in Hindi, this design represents research on nuclear-generated electricity, which was lighting up the world. With the atom symbol in the lightbulb in front of a world map, Nitsche created a particularly clear and strong visual message with this poster.
