About this poster

“Solar dynamics” is one of five designs from the second instalment of the multilingual “Atoms for peace” poster series, which Erik Nitsche created for the U.S. General Dynamics corporation in the year following the first International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy in Geneva. Bearing the series slogan in Spanish, this design represents research on the technological uses of solar nuclear fusion. The colourful, concentric chequered pattern creates a remarkable kinetic effect.
