About this poster

“Nucleodynamics” is one of six designs from the first multilingual poster series “Atoms for peace”, which Erik Nitsche created for the U.S. General Dynamics corporation on the occasion of the first International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy, held in Geneva. Bearing the series slogan in Japanese, this design features a mosaic-like pattern recalling the table of nuclides (a graphic representation of all known atomic nuclei), which is of fundamental importance in nuclear physics.
