About this poster

The French Charles Loupot spent many years in Switzerland as a young man, learned the technique of lithography at J.E. Wolfensberger in Zurich and created his first posters in Switzerland, for example for the PKZ, Loeb and Grieder fashion stores around 1917. For this poster advertising Serodent toothpaste in 1935, Loupot deliberately adapted to the strict style of the Swiss object poster. The cool tones of this design are rather unusual for Loupot’s style.
