About this poster
This poster promotes the TRIGA safe nuclear reactor built for training and research by General Atomic, a division of General Dynamics, and exhibited to the public in Geneva during the second International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy in 1958. TRIGA is an acronym for “Training, Research, Isotopes, General Atomics”. The design includes a photograph of a TRIGA reactor core overlaid with a pattern of circles. The blue colour scheme is inspired by the blue glow caused by the Cherenkov radiation in the water around the reactor core.
