Zurich’s most famous street, the Bahnhofstrasse, was built more than 150 years ago. On this famous shopping street, Fein-Kaller was one of the most important gentlemen’s clothing stores. Fein-Kaller set high standards in terms of quality, brands, product range and service, as well as in their poster designs from the 1920s and 1930s like this advertisement for straw hats from 1926.

Max Dalang was one of the first professional advertising consultants in Switzerland and owned the largest advertising agency after the First World War. He set a professional standard, trained many of his later advertising colleagues at his agency and was the leading founder of the “Schweizer Reklameverband” (the predecessor of Swiss Advertising SA).
