This brilliant typographic poster by Niklaus Troxler for the McCoy Tyner Sextet was inspired by the contrast between white and black piano keys. Besides being a world renowned graphic designer, Niklaus Troxler is also an amateur musician and has organised the annual Willisau Jazz Festival in Switzerland since 1975.

Niklaus Toxler, born 1947, lives and works in Willisau, Lucerne.
He was trained in typography and graphic design at the art school in Lucerne; from 1967 to 1971 he worked as an art director in Paris; in 1973 he opened his studio for graphic design in Willisau, where he mainly works for cultural and music events, like the Willisau Jazz Festival, which he founded.
