Gersau lies in an idyllic, closed landscape right on Lake Lucerne at the southern foot of the Rigi. Thanks to the climate that is mild enough even for sweet chestnuts to grow there, Gersau is known locally as the Riviera of Lake Lucerne. This rare lithograph from the 1940s shows a beautiful alpine landscape on Lake Lucerne in vibrant colours.
