This is a very rare poster for the military air show in Dübendorf at the start of the Second World War celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Swiss air force. The Swiss poster designer Otto Baumberger was not only many-talented but also hardworking and productive; he always made sure to accept important poster commissions, most likely also for financial reasons.

Otto Baumberger was born in Zurich in 1889. He served an apprenticeship as a lithographer and took courses at the Zurich Art School (Kunstgewerbeschule) from 1905 to 1907.
