The painter Ernst Emil Schlatter also worked as a freelance graphic artist. With his painterly style, he created some of the best and most exciting landscape and tourism posters. The original advertising poster for the Rhine Valley trams shows space for announcements and information for travellers for the Altstätten-Heerbrugg-Berneck trolleybus service in the early 1940s.
