About this poster

This poster for a week-long retrospective on Raymond Chandler and the American film noir is the earliest of several posters that Brühwiler created for the Zurich Filmpodium. Although more than half of the poster is taken up by block-style lettering, the stylized image of the sharp-eyed detective with his hat pulled low over his face grabs our attention – especially with a target centered on his eye.
