The designer Pierre Gauchat was a realist who aimed for immediate impact and a direct advertising message. Hence many of his wonderfully factually designed posters that met his need for simplicity and cleanliness. This is the French version.

Pierre GAUCHAT was born in Zurich in 1902 and died in Cairo in 1956.
He studied graphic design under Ernst Keller at the Zurich School of Arts and Crafts and later in Munich. After learning about printing techniques during an internship at Orell Füssli, he started his own studio in Zurich in 1922 and taught graphic design from 1926 to 1945.
