About this poster
This original poster probably advertised a winter ball (the “snowball ball”) held at the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz. Besides a wide range of winter sports, guests at the luxurious Kulm Hotel could enjoy various forms of cultural entertainment, including concerts and masked balls. The design for this 1930s poster was created by Zurich artist Roland Brunhoff, who mainly worked as a sculptor but designed some unique and unusual posters in a sketch-like style.
