About this poster
This original stone lithograph advertising the Jungfrau railway was designed in the 1930s by the painter Ernst Hodel, who today is mainly known for his large landscape murals. A cupola for astronomical observations was added to the building in 1950, and later posters modelled on this one show the observatory with the new cupola.
