This graphicly strong poster for the Swiss Railways system is advertised as "The main artery of the economy." Hartmann demonstrates in this poster a steel-track and wheel - that should demonstrate not only the solidity of SBB or CFF but should bring back some of the good business to SBB which was lost in the early 1970s.

Hans Hartmann (1913-1991) was born in the canton of Aargau but later established himself in Berne. One of his specialties was designing logos for companies and institutions, including the SBB, for which he designed the logo combining a Swiss cross with two arrows.
