A young blond lady skier greets the Bernese bear in the wintry mountains of the Bernese Oberland. Amusing and typical of some of the winter sports posters designed by Paul Gusset in the 1940s. A lovely poster from 1945 that not only children will enjoy.

Paul Gusset was born in St. Gallen in 1909. After graduating from the St. Gallen Commercial and Cantonal School, Gusset attended the Stuttgart School of Applied Arts.
At the end of the 1930s Gusset opened his own studio in Zurich and mainly designed posters, including several very decorative, colourful and humorous posters for tourist resorts and consumer goods.
