About this poster

A very rare and remarkable object poster by the famous Basel poster designer Peter Birkhauser, who had a strong passion for a graphic style of precision and the difficult airbrush technique. Birkhauser created a few remarkable and unique object posters for the shoe brand BATA. Like most of Birkhauser‘s object posters, this one was printed in the lithograph technique by the Wolfensberger printers. It has brilliant colors and richness in textures of the pair of shiny winter shoes with zip which achieved to make the shoe look real. Like for this shoes which were famous to wear after Second World War, Birkhäuser succeeded in putting the product - the Bata shoe - right in the middle of the message, promoting the Bata logotype and the price of 9.90 Swiss Francs!
