Chocolat Villars, CH

Chocolat Villars was founded in Fribourg by Wilhelm Kaiser in 1901 and for the quality of the chocolate Kaiser quickly became the supplier to many European royal courts. In the 1930s the company adopted the “Villars cow” as their advertising logo. In 1995 Villars was acquired by the Bongrain group, which in 2015 was renamed Savencia. Villars still uses the poster design created by Emil Cardinaux in the early 1900s on its chocolate tins.
