Autombiles Martini, St. Blaise, CH

The Martini company manufactures its first automobiles in 1903 in St. Blaise on Lake Neuchâtel. In 1924, the Steiger brothers acquired a majority shareholding in the company and restructured it. The automobiles from the Steiger-Martini company were considered the most advanced production cars of their time. Specially produced roadster variants won car races at the Klausen or in Monza. Although the company produced high-class products with almost 500 employees and was compared to Bugatti, the company had to close in the course of the automobile crisis in the 1930s.
