About this poster
One of the most controversial designs in Swiss political poster history - the Swiss People's Party (SVP) used it in 2009 to campaign for the adoption of the popular initiative against the construction of minarets. It made headlines at home and abroad and led to heated debates. No doubt the poster contributed in no small way to the adoption of the initiative - an impressive example of what a targeted use of visual language can achieve.
