About this poster

A beautiful view of Lake Geneva, Chillon Castle and the Dents du Midi mountain. Chillon Castle, an architectural jewel with over 1000 years of history located in the most beautiful setting imaginable between the shores of Lake Geneva and the Alps, has always inspired artists and writers, from Jean-Jacques Rousseau to Victor Hugo and Lord Byron, from Delacroix to Courbet. This famous Emil Cardinaux poster was first printed in small size in 1928. Then in 1949 the Simplon railway Company re-printed it in large size. A classic Swiss travel poster in excellent condition with fresh colours and text in Italian.
