About this poster

Born in Chemnitz in 1907, Werner Weiskönig lived in St. Gallen until his death in 1982. As a commercial artist and exhibition builder, he designed numerous tourism posters and public life posters, many of them for the city and canton of St. Gallen. Weiskönig was also involved in the creation of the Swiss School Murals and decorated several school buildings with murals or stained glass windows. The original poster for the ski day in Weisslingen shows skijoring in 1936. Perfect lithograph and rarity.
