About this poster
The first Rheineck-Walzenhausen-Lachen hill climb was organised by the Automobile Club of Switzerland (ACS St.Gallen-Appenzell section) in 1910 and took place 18 times until the start of the Second World War. When the world slowly returned to normality in 1947, the local racing tradition was also resumed with great enthusiasm and the daredevil drivers raced on the original Rheineck-Walzenhausen-Lachen circuit until 1954. From 1949, the car race was held as a national hill climb. Here is the rare authentic small format as a historical testimony.
