About this poster
On 19 July 1948, the Swiss hotelier's son Ueli Prager opened the first Mövenpick restaurant, the Claridenhof in Zurich. Designed for people with little time, Mövenpick's logo at the time showed a seagull that was quickly fed ‘as if in flight’. Today, the global company has shrunk and is focussing on fine food and wines. Original poster by Edgar Küng for Mövenpick from the 1950s.
