The Pizol ski and hiking area in the canton of St. Gallen, which was already famous at the time, was made more accessible with two mountain railways in the 1950s: two gondola lifts, one each from Bad Ragaz and Wangs, opened in 1954. In the early years of the gondolas’ existence, this charming original poster for the Wangs – Furt line attracted visitors keen on mountain air and hiking adventures to the Pizol region.
