OLMA is the annual Swiss fair for agriculture and dairy farming in St. Gallen. The original poster was designed in 1944 by Werner Weiskönig, who lived in St. Gallen as a commercial artist. Werner Weiskönig was born in 1907 in Chemnitz, Germany and lived in St. Gallen, Switzerland until his death in 1982. From 1924 to 1927 he studied applied arts in St. Gallen before continuing his studies from 1930 to 1931 at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf.
