About this poster
The Camille Bloch chocolate company was founded in 1929 and opened a factory in Courtelary in the Bernese Jura in 1935. Its most famous product, the Ragusa hazelnut chocolate bar, was launched in 1942. One of the company's early specialities was the production of chocolate bars with fillings, such as the "Cristal" chocolate advertised here. This original poster by an unknown graphic designer shows a sea lion and ice floes to symbolise the "refreshing" filling. A rarity from 1953.
