The Grand Hotel Brissago was opened in 1906 and closed in 1989 to make room for a modern apartment block. The luxurious hotel on Lake Maggiore accommodated many celebrities, often for weeks on end. The splendid original colour lithograph in classic art-deco style is considered an absolute rarity.
