Karl Domenic Geissbühler is one of the most renowned and original designers of posters for opera performances. The multi-award-winning designer was responsible for all advertising and stage design at the Zurich Opera House from 1976 to 2012. This is an original poster for the 1994 production of Otello.

Karl Domenic Geissbühler was born in Winterthur in 1932, worked and lived in Zurich.
He was educated at the art schools in Zurich and Berlin, started working as graphic designer with an advertising agency and founded his own studio in 1976. Since 2012, the graphic design studio has been managed by his daughter.
