Eric Hermès, whose main work was creating murals, paintings and sculptures for public buildings, designed a number of remarkable posters mostly for the Valais Tourism Union and Valais companies in the 1930s and 1940s. His most humorous and playful design is probably this wonderful original 1938 poster featuring a smiling, sun-kissed young woman embracing a grinning snowman, with skiers coming down the snowy slope behind her.
