About this poster
The commercial building at Bahnhofstrasse 52 in Zurich, formerly Seiden Spinner and later Grieder Zurich, was renowned for selling high-quality silk from the 1920s onwards. It was not only Zurich's high society who shopped at Seiden Spinner for Zurich's balls – quality-conscious customers from abroad also travelled to the city to shop at the store. The rare colour lithograph was designed by Paul H. Frey, lithographed by the Kunstanstalt J.C. Müller, acquired by the then collector Dr Hans Sachs and auctioned in New York at the beginning of the century. Rarity.
