About this poster

Max Bill studied at the Bauhaus in the 1920s and was one of the major Swiss proponents of concrete art, which emphasized geometrical abstraction. He was a major figure in Swiss art and design history as an architect, painter, typeface designer, industrial designer and graphic designer. In 1977 Bill designed this original poster to advertise an exhibition at the former Zurich museum of arts and crafts (today Museum of Design) about the movements in art, design and architecture around 1930.
