The Zurich Filmpodium is known for its film noir screenings. The graphic designer and lecturer at the Lucerne School of Art, Paul Brühwiler, has created some remarkable posters that, like the film in question, ‘get under your skin’. One example is the 1982 motif for the American retrospective of the American gangster film with the actor Edgar G. Robinson.

Paul BRÜHWILER (pabru) was born in 1939 in Lucerne, where he lives now. He completed a traineeship as a graphic designer in Lucerne and trained for 5 years with Création Hollenstein and Edition Condé Nast in Paris. Between 1965 and 1973, he worked with various art studios in Los Angeles (Ray and Charles Eames, Carson/Roberts ad agency).
