About this poster
The extraordinary and creative Swiss designer, exhibitor and teacher at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has always been looking for his own poster style in an headstrong combination of typography and background image. He mostly dedicates his poster art to cultural events and exhibitions and still designs a few posters a year only. Like many of Schraivogel’s posters, this poster for the Zurich Film Podium has an idiosyncratic design and is “handmade” with regard to the refined combination of typography and printing process.

Ralph Schraivogel was born in Lucerne in 1960 and lives in Zurich. He has devoted his career to designing posters for nearly a quarter century, and taught Design at Zurich’s School of Design and Berlin’s University of the Arts.
