About this poster

Hans Neuburg was a representative of the constructivist-oriented Swiss Style of graphic design. This original exhibition poster from 1966 is a wonderful example of this, with its focus on typography, geometric shapes and clear structure. Through the intelligent use of the Zurich coat of arms, Neuburg was able to create an expressive design with minimal means.

Hans Neuburg was born in 1904 in Bohemia (now Czech Republic) and died 1983 in Zurich, Switzerland.

He completed a technical apprenticeship p with Orell Füssli, then worked as a graphic designer and copywriter with several Zurich companies. In 1936, he opened his own graphic desing studio.
