About this poster

This poster was censored by the then Zurich city president and could not be displayed, on the grounds that it was a somewhat provocative cityscape and the city of Zurich did not deserve this rating. All Zurich artist groups wrote an open letter to the Zurich president asking if he believed that "Zurich would have lost its innocence only with this poster". A newly designed replacement poster approved by the directors of the Kunsthaus was judged negatively due to the lack of sensitivity
