About this poster
The painter Fritz Hug devoted himself primarily to the depiction of animals and was committed to the protection of animals and the environment. At the end of the 1960s, the WWF commissioned Hug to paint around 100 animals threatened with extinction. These paintings were exhibited at the Helmhaus in Zurich in 1970. A mirror-inverted version of this jaguar image was used for the 1970 exhibition poster.
