About this poster

Armin Hofmann designed this unique poster for the 1963 performance of William Tell at the Basel Open-Air Theatre, depicting the symbols of the Tell legend but using photography and lettering to create an elegant symbolic image of the arrow and apple. Like most of Hofmann's outstanding works, this rare original poster is in black and white.
