Über dieses Plakat
A fashionable young woman stands in the shade of an arcade and looks away from the viewer past the summery lakeside lido towards the breathtaking, snow-capped central Swiss Alps around Lake Lucerne. The composition of this original vintage poster by the Swiss artist Otto Ernst, who studied in Paris under Eugène Grasset, is highly reminiscent of the French Art Deco posters of Roger Broders. When it opened in 1919, the Weggis lido was the first outdoor lido in Switzerland without gender separation. It caused a sensation throughout Switzerland and became a model for many other bathing establishments.
