About this poster
Josef Müller Brockmann was a leading exponent of the Swiss International Style. He designed typographic posters using geometric compositions and is especially known for his advertisements for cultural events. Most of his posters he created in the middle of the 20th century won a number of prizes. Poster collectors love Müller-Brockman‘s avant-garde style of poster design. The Pro Telephon Zurich interest group used this poster in the mid-1950s to advertise the Swiss telephone network - the first fully automatic network in the world.
