The 1950s are in the fashion spotlight - and especially the airy women's dresses. The elegant, pretty Italian woman was probably intended more as a pin-up model in the Fities look for the Italian sewing machine Vigorelli; whether she sewed her dresses herself at the time is not recorded in the original poster by Gino Boccasile from 1949.

Gino Boccasile was trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari and his early work was published in local magazines. As a young man, he worked in Paris and Argentina before returning to Italy where he settled down in Milan.
