About this poster

The 1950s are in the fashion spotlight - and especially the airy women's dresses. The elegant, pretty Italian woman was probably intended more as a pin-up model in the Fities look for the Italian sewing machine Vigorelli; whether she sewed her dresses herself at the time is not recorded in the original poster by Gino Boccasile from 1953.

As a young man, he worked in Paris and Argentina before returning to Italy where he settled down in Milan.
