Venice (Italian Venezia) is a city in the north-east of Italy and is nicknamed La Serenissima ("The Most Serene"). With its more than 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1987, is particularly inspiring to artists and is one of the most visited cities by tourists. This extremely rare poster shows a gondolier in a picturesquely unique view from the 1920s.
