This romantic original poster in Liberty style, the Italian variant of Art Nouveau, promoted travel to the Italian Alps with the R.M., Roma-Milano railway company around the turn of the 20th century. The Ossola valley lies to the north of Lake Orta, which is depicted in the bottom section of the image with the island of San Giulio.
