Paul Colin (1892-1985) was born in Nancy, where he apprenticed at a printing house and then studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. He became famous in 1925, when he created the first poster for Josephine Baker’s “Revue Nègre” at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
