About this poster

The "Coupe des Nations" 1930 - with the official name "Tournoi International de Football" - was a football tournament held in Geneva in the summer of 1930. The tournament was organised by the local club "Servette Geneva", which won the Swiss Football Championship that year. The match was held as an alternative to the 1930 World Cup and was part of the opening celebrations of the Stade de Charmilles. All the major European football nations were invited to the Tournoi with the exception of the British countries, which were excluded from FIFA at the time.
