Herbert Leupin was one of the most prominent and influential Swiss graphic artists of the post-war era. As in a number of other product posters, Leupin combined two different graphic styles in this original vintage poster for Pelikan fountain and ballpoint pens: the advertised product is shown in a photorealistic graphic style, while the stylised pelican provides an eye-catching and humorous visual representation of the brand name.
