About this poster

In 1956, Swissair continued to acquire new aircraft like the Convair 340 Metropolitans, the DC-7Cs Seven Seas and the jet plane DC-8s. Two of the most outstanding posters were created in 1956 by Bernese designer Kurth Wirth. They have become highly collectible: in an exceptionally realistic and monumentally stylised design on a blue background, Wirth paid much attention to detail, showing the aircraft from various angles.
