This poster for the Swiss National Exhibition of 1914 in Bern designed by the poster master Emil Cardinaux made history: to create a green horse to advertise a national fair was at the time judged as an “affront” by the rather conservative public but highly praised as an idea by the avant-garde. It has become one of the most important works in Swiss poster history.
