About this poster

The Swiss sport museum was founded in Basel in 1945 and was considered one of the oldest sport museums in Europe. The collection included more than 12,000 objects, 200,000 pictures, 150 metres of document files and 11,000 books, newspapers and magazines. Due to a decline in visitor numbers, the museum had to be liquidated in 2021. This poster advertised a 1963 exhibition of sport posters by A.W. Diggelmann.
